The Miracles of Trees and The Gift of the Ocean

Trees and Oceans are precious participants in the water cycle of our Planet Earth. Our appreciation for their secrets and the lessons of life we can learn from their examples grows with our understanding; while the wonder of their miracles invokes our love and protection.
We will take a deep look at topics such as:

• The Mysterious World of the Tree—the community of nature it supports
• How Plants Reduce Urban Heat—a cool neighbour
• Flying Rivers—rain from far off lands
• Friendships in the Forest—everything is connected
• Deep-sea Mining—not so good after all
• Marine Reserves—a saviour
• Plastic and the Ocean—what we can do about it

As a previous Science teacher our speaker Constance Margaret Dando has a deep interest in the Science of Nature and a desire to share the planet-saving lessons we can learn from the natural Harmony we find everywhere in Nature.
