Snus consumption is just as addictive as smoking or vaping. A cigarette contains 7.5 -13.4 mg of nicotine. One pouch of snus (= 0.5-1.5 g) contains 2 to 43 (!) mg of nicotine per gram. So one pouch of snus contains up to 4 times more nicotine than a cigarette! Alarmingly, more and more adolescents are using snus—and later start smoking.
