De plus, les algues microscopiques sont la base nutritionnelle de toute vie dans les oc\u00e9ans. Elles sont au d\u00e9but de la cha\u00eene alimentaire. \u00c0 cette fin, elles d\u00e9composent les sels min\u00e9raux et le carbone contenus dans la mer lorsqu\u2019elles sont expos\u00e9es au soleil. Ce qui reste, c\u2019est de l\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne et des substances organiques qui servent ensuite de nourriture \u00e0 de nombreux poissons.<\/p>\n<p>Ainsi, le plancton v\u00e9g\u00e9tal, qui est la principale source de mati\u00e8re organique dans les oc\u00e9ans, joue \u00e9galement un r\u00f4le important dans le cycle de l\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne.<\/p>\n<p>Par ailleurs, les oc\u00e9ans absorbent environ un quart du CO2 lib\u00e9r\u00e9 dans l\u2019air gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9change de gaz \u00e0 leur surface. L\u2019absorption accrue de dioxyde de carbone dans l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re entra\u00eene \u00e0 son tour une acidification. L\u2019eau de mer est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement alcaline. Lorsque le dioxyde de carbone rentre en contact avec l\u2019eau, il se combine dans une certaine mesure \u00e0 celle-ci pour former de l\u2019acide carbonique. Les cons\u00e9quences de cette acidification affectent d\u2019abord les organismes calcaires (coraux), dont la capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 former des coquilles protectrices diminue \u00e0 cause du pH acide. La hausse des temp\u00e9ratures et l\u2019augmentation de la pollution de l\u2019eau entra\u00eenent un blanchissement des coraux effroyablement rapide et la mort de cet \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me. Les scientifiques estiment que la Grande Barri\u00e8re de corail, la plus grande structure vivante du monde, a perdu environ la moiti\u00e9 de ses coraux depuis le milieu des ann\u00e9es 80. Cependant, la pression excessive exerc\u00e9e sur cet \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me vivifiant a un prix et pousse les oc\u00e9ans \u00e0 la limite de leurs capacit\u00e9s. La protection des oc\u00e9ans est donc non seulement essentielle pour eux-m\u00eames, mais doit devenir une priorit\u00e9 absolue pour la survie de notre plan\u00e8te.<\/p>\n<p>Il est un besoin urgent de prot\u00e9ger efficacement les grandes zones oc\u00e9aniques et les esp\u00e8ces y vivant (dont chacune contribue \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9quilibre de cet \u00e9norme habitat parce que tout est reli\u00e9 au r\u00e9seau de la vie). Saviez-vous que les cachalots, par exemple, jouent un r\u00f4le important en tant que protecteurs du climat&nbsp;? Ils favorisent la croissance du phytoplancton avec leurs excr\u00e9ments, ce qui \u00e9limine le dioxyde de carbone de l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re, comme expliqu\u00e9 ci-dessus. En outre, l\u2019un des meilleurs antidotes \u00e0 l\u2019exc\u00e8s de CO2 sur notre plan\u00e8te est de planter des arbres, car nous savons qu\u2019ils convertissent le CO2 en oxyg\u00e8ne. Ce faisant, nous soutenons et all\u00e9geons efficacement la pression sur l\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me marin.<\/p>\n<p>Le d\u00e9s\u00e9quilibre cr\u00e9\u00e9 par les humains sur notre plan\u00e8te d\u2019origine doit d\u2019abord \u00eatre r\u00e9ajust\u00e9 par une coexistence respectueuse avec la Nature dans l\u2019amour et le respect.
