La droga que expenden es la nicotina. Hoy esto es m\u00e1s cierto que nunca, con la tendencia hacia las \u2018alternativas sin humo\u2019 como los calentadores de tabaco, los cigarrillos electr\u00f3nicos o el snus, ya que estos productos a menudo no contienen tabaco, sino principalmente la adictiva nicotina en una forma u otra (sint\u00e9tica). La industria siempre ha sido muy consciente de su papel, como lo demuestran los documentos internos de las empresas. Una afirmaci\u00f3n que es completamente inventada, como revel\u00f3 un denunciante de la Philip Morris International (PMI) hace pocos meses. <strong>Declar\u00f3 lo siguiente de los populares calentadores de tabaco IQOS de PMI: \u201cNo reducen el da\u00f1o. No reducen los riesgos para la salud. Esto sigue siendo rotundamente negado por la industria tabacalera, aunque documentos internos de la empresa demuestran que la gente joven es el grupo objetivo para la publicidad y los nuevos productos. Esto es evidente, ya que los clientes de la industria del tabaco y la nicotina constantemente mueren por el consumo del producto que se vende, y los j\u00f3venes que empiezan a consumir productos que contienen nicotina suelen ser \u2018clientes\u2019 de por vida. Esto est\u00e1 claramente demostrado en forma cient\u00edfica.<\/p>\n<p>Mundialmente, alrededor de 50 millones de j\u00f3venes entre los 13 y los 15 a\u00f1os consumen cigarrillos o productos de nicotina sin humo. En 2023, m\u00e1s de un tercio de los j\u00f3venes entre 14 y 17 a\u00f1os en Alemania afirmaron haber ya usado un cigarrillo electr\u00f3nico.<strong>&nbsp;\u00a1Entre el 2021 y el 2022, el n\u00famero de usuarios en este grupo de edad incluso se quintuplic\u00f3!<\/strong> La presentaci\u00f3n colorida y moderna de los productos, que se encuentran cada vez m\u00e1s en las m\u00e1quinas expendedoras cerca de los caramelos y refrescos, tiene la intenci\u00f3n de que los ni\u00f1os y los j\u00f3venes perciban a los productos de la nicotina como productos de estilo de vida inofensivos. Los aromas a\u00f1adidos -desde vainilla y sand\u00eda hasta menta- que son cerca de 16.000 en el mercado seg\u00fan la OMS, tambi\u00e9n contribuyen a esto.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sin embargo, los cigarrillos electr\u00f3nicos y los vapeadores de ninguna manera son inofensivos.<\/strong> El l\u00edquido en los vapeadores principalmente contiene propilenglicol y glicerina (es decir no es simple vapor de agua). Adem\u00e1s, est\u00e1n los aromas, de los que a\u00fan no est\u00e1 del todo claro que efectos tienen en el cuerpo al ser inhalados a largo plazo.
