Woods and forests do not only provide us with wood, fruits, remedies, shade and protection from avalanches and landslides, they also provide more than 90% of the habitat for animals living on land. Trees act literally as an intermediary between the atmosphere and this planet. As such they are absolutely necessary to maintain the perfect balance between the elements earth, water, air and fire. If it were not for the trees, none of these elements would be available for us.

The trees’ service to life is not appreciated enough. We endeavour to deepen people’s understanding of the trees’ service to all life so that they once again realise and acknowledge the importance of the trees. Generally speaking there is nothing more essential for life than trees.
