Nowadays the seas are extremely polluted by waste, untreated sewage, oil tanker accidents, radio active waste, and noise. All of these destroy the ecosystem of the seas and deprive their inhabitants of the very basis of their livelihood.

Therefore, The World Foundation for Natural Science endeavours to make people aware of the importance of clean water, to arouse in them their love for the seas and its creatures as well as their self-responsibility in the re-establishment of the cleanness of the seas, so that people will soon be able to enjoy again the beauty and cleanness of the seas, lakes, and rivers of this planet.

In addition, we are clarifying who the biggest ‚environmental polluters’ of the Mediterranean Sea are, so that we are able to support the drastic reduction of the pollution of the Mediterranean Sea by the EU bordering states.
